Age Concern East Sussex Advocacy Service

Many of us sometimes feel that we are not being listened to, or even consulted, about issues that affect our lives. If you feel unable to speak up for yourself in such situations, the Advocacy Service can help. It is a free and confidential service for people over the age of 60 living in East Sussex or Brighton and Hove.

We can match you with a trained volunteer advocate who will visit you to discuss your problem and provide support to make sure that your voice is heard. The advocate may, for example, obtain information for you, help you make choices, write letters or make telephone calls on your behalf or accompany you to meetings. Our advocates are friendly, approachable and sensitive to your needs.

If you would like the support of one of our advocates, or you require further information, please contact our Lewes office or, if you live in Hastings or the Rother area, our Battle office. You can contact us by post, telephone or via email on -
